Using the MivaTMStorefront Manager
The Miva Storefront system is what makes your Web site E-Commerce capable. It's also responsible
for displaying all your product information. You can do the following things with your Storefront Manager:
- Add product information, including, images, description, price, attributes, etc.
- Create product categories and sub-categores
- Customize shipping options (real time UPS, USPS flat rate shipping, etc.)
- Forms of payment you accept
- And much more...
The first time you login to your Storefront, you can begin adding all your proudct information
and customize your shopping cart features. The most common Storefront Manager functions
are handled through the use of Wizards.
Simply click the Wizard icon and it will walk you through the setup process.
After your storefront is up and running, you may need to make some changes to your products or
storefront features. The following is a quick example of how to maintain your storefront once it's setup.
Suppose you wanted to add a more detailed description to one of your products.
The following example shows how you would do this.
Example: Modifying a product description
After entering your login information you are greeted with your personal Storefront:
The grey menu bar provides links to perform various tasks.
In our example, we want to update a product description:
Simply click the 'Products' hotlink as shown below:
The next screen would display a list of all your products (not shown).
By clicking the product you want to update, you would get the following screen:
Enter your description changes in the text box provided.
You can also modify additional product information including
product images, headers and footers, and product attributes by clicking the text links at the top.
Once you've made your changes, click "Update" to finalize.
Your changes appear instantly in your WebStore.
Each area of Product Manager has a "Help" button. Just click it any time you need a detailed explanation for a particular section.
